J1 Meeting Room Video Calls/ Conferencing using Microsoft (MS) Teams


Quick Guide – If you need to change the camera


There are two web cameras connected to the desktop PC:


  1. Logitech Brio– Located on top of the Dell TV.


  2. Aver CAM520 Pro 2– Located on the rear (right wall as you enter J1 meeting room)


Both cameras can be individually selected to be used as the webcam within the MS Teams application settings menu, (once you have signed into MS Teams).


Opening the settings menu in Microsoft Teams 




  • Click on the 3 horizontal dots in the top right-hand corner of the Teams application window. This will open the following Teams application window as shown below.




  • Click on the “Devices” heading on the left hand side of the settings window (highlighted in yellow) to check that the correct camera has been selected from the dropdown menu.


  • Then scroll down to the “Camera” heading to see the dropdown list (as shown in the image below):


 



Only select either “Logitech Brio” OR “Aver CAM520 PRO2” – the latter is used for Board meetings.


  • When you have selected the Logitech Brio webcam you will see this within the Teams Settings menu:




When you have selected the Aver CAM520 Pro2 you will see this within the Teams Settings menu:

 



Once you have selected the relevant webcam from the Teams Settings menu, close the Teams Settings menu by clicking on the “X” in the top right corner.



Other Related Information when using MS Teams


Ensure that you are using the Microsoft Teams Desktop Application, (available by searching the Windows Start Menu installed applications, then clicking on Teams named icon to open the application).


DO NOT use Microsoft Edge or Google Chrome web browsers for Microsoft Teams video calls/conferences.


If Teams hasn’t opened automatically after login, click into the search box and type “Teams” as in the image below.
