PLEASE NOTE

Make sure you fully trust the document and its source, or this option may trigger malicious content on your device. It is highly recommended to scan the document with Sophos antivirus first by right-clicking and selecting Scan with Sophos Endpoint which should return a negative outcome. If in doubt, please contact the Service Desk for further advice.

1. Open

 

Right-click on the PDF you wish to edit and select Open with > Choose another app

When asked how we want to open the file, click on More apps and look for Microsoft Word and press OK

2. Edit


The document will be opened in Protected View until you press Enable Editing


 

PLEASE NOTE

The PDF may have been created in a different application from the one that’s being edited in which may resolve in layout/font differences and requiring minor changes to fit back into its original shape. It’s always recommended to save a copy of the PDF to avoid overwriting the original.

 

LINKS EDIT


Right-click on the link and select Edit Hyperlink



The Edit Hyperlink window will show two relevant fields:

  • Text to display: the text shown on the document
  • Address: the actual website the browser will attempt to connect you to when clicked

 

Please ensure you only edit/include reputable and secure websites that start with https://... otherwise the PDF or website access may be blocked.

3. Export


Once the document is ready to be converted back to PDF, from the top menu, select File > Export then under Create PDF/XPS Document > Create PDF/XPS and name your new file accordingly.
